After the present clubhouse was erected in 1925, the golf course was increased to eighteen holes. Par was 71 and the course covered nearly 135 acres. Architect Calvin Black was hired for the conversion of the old nine to an entirely new layout. In 1924, Emet French of Youngstown, the 1924 PGA Champion, partnered with L.
